Pollock's Phish Bethel is Poster of the Year, Trammel NYE AP drop, & 'Danger' in real life
It’s me, your humble poster servant, back with another gig poster-leaning edition of Jam Sandwich
Hey there,
It’s me, your humble poster servant, back with another gig poster-leaning edition of Jam Sandwich. I heard some nice feedback after the last one — and even helped a couple of you score in the drop — so will keep things rolling in that direction until you wave me off.
Feel free to reach out anytime if I can help you track down a long-desired poster or if you’ve got a tip to share after a successful snag. I’d also love to hear some suggestions for what you’d like to see more of from this newsletter moving forward, especially in the show posters and related art/merchandise domain. And finally, the best thing you can do is forward this email to a friend or two who is also in the degenerate art collecting game.
The reason I pivoted this newsletter to this space is because there’s so much action and yet it’s hard for newer folks to navigate. I’m hopeful to help a few folks out. If that’s interesting to you, and you’re new here, please subscribe:
In this week’s edition, we’ve got details for one more NYE MSG drop, news of Pollock’s Poster of the Year distinction, and a real-life show to check out in Massachusetts, if you’re so inclined!
Happy hunting,
Brian / @moneyries

Pollock FTW
Jim Pollock’s show poster done to mark Phish’s summer visit to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts was named Poster of the Year by the collector's community at Expresso Beans!
Here’s how Pollock initially described the design when he previewed it ahead of the run:
"Being the site of Woodstock, I gave a nod to the 25th anniversary of The Great Went, my favorite @phish #festival by incorporating a couple #eastereggs from a #linocut #print I made on site there. The characters are migrating — like so many of us have over the years, thanks to #phish I hope you enjoy!" - JP
The CommonWealth Press-produced print was released at the venue in a run of 1,500 originals and 600 variants, with 300 APs released by Bottleneck ($65 original, $100 variant) a bit later.
EB’s Six Month Average is hovering just under $300 — not bad for such a quality piece.
‘Danger’ in Easthampton
Daniel Danger, aka Tiny Media Empire, is opening the doors to his chocolate factory this Sunday, January 28th, in Easthampton, Massachusetts.
Danger’s done a number of gig posters showcasing his haunted, apocalyptic style over the past few years, so if you’re in the area and lucky you might have a shot at snagging APs or variants from bands like Ghost of the Forest (Beacon Jams, Portland, Boston, etc.), Phish (Atlantic City — you know, Lucy the Elephant), TAB (Boston), Billy Strings (Nashville, Salt Lake City), Phil Lesh (Halloween at the Cap), as well as Primus, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, NIN, and many more.
So much of the gig poster community is spread out online in Facebook groups and aging forums, this show presents a rare chance to get out and meet people with shameful cardboard shipping tubes just like you! So if you’re close by or looking for an adventure, do check it out.
